  1. After about 2 dozen successful burns using the same basic method, I hit a wall.
Burning an ISO file using DVD Decrypter stops at 92% with an I O Error message that says, among other things, "Logical Block Address Out Of Range". Gave up after 5 tries using different shrink conditions and versions. Went like this:
Rip DVD-9 in File mode using DVD Decrypter. (All files)
Shrink and backup using DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta 5 (also tried Version 2.3)
Create ISO image using ImgTool Classic
Burn to DVD using DVD Decrypter
I also tried with DVD Shrink doing the ripping.
The iso files always played back using Virtual Daemon/PowerDVD.
The Decrypter burn always stopped at 92% with the same error message.

Noticed that, when setting up to burn, Decrypter showed ISO file to be 5.086 gb. Windows Explorer say 4.7 gb for this file. Is the file too big? Trying to put the proverbial 5 pounds in a three pound bag?
Tried setting the shrink to give a much smaller file but for some reason ImgTool did not like it. When I told it to Image, nothing happened. The input blocks just kinda grayed out. No message. No nothin.
Noticed something else with ImgTool when it worked ok, the % Bar jumps immediately to 100% and goes on from there. When finished it shows around 7000%. Deleted and reinstalled it. No change. May have been like this all along.
DVD Decrypter has always given me backups that play on my JVC player, even though the JVC is not supposed to play DVD+R's. Nero backups play ok on my pc but not on the JVC.
    Appreciate your thoughts

    4.7 G is 92% of 5.08 G
It's fairly obvious that the ISO is too big. The burner
knows how big a disc is. It tried to address 1 sector past the end.

Can you find a burning program that will burn in file mode ?

  3. Thanks for the reply.
Well, that's what it looked like to me. What I don't understand is that DVD Shrink (both versions that I tried) always showed the correct size to fit a 4.7 blank, i.e. no red in the size bar. Even used the automatic shrink of the entire DVD option found in Shrink 3. As I indicated in my post, I've used the exact method numerous times before without a failure. Could the bad guy here be ImgTool Classic? Creating a larger iso file? I thought that ImgTool merely created an image without adding to file size.
I do have Nero to burn from files, but the DVD's will not play on my JVC player. The Decrypter iso burns play fine.

You might get Daemon tools and mount the ISO as a fake DvD and
look in it to see what's in there.
Also ISObuster might tell you something
