  2. You need to upgrade to RNM or another burning package,as the psx engine in Primo doesn't support it.

You may be able to get an psx update, but I am told it aint too clever.

    Go for new software.

prassi primo dvd is one of the best burning software around (if not the best for dvd's) and you will find it in a LOT of duplication places and studios .... though no longer made - updates are still avaiable for it ..

and it supports the 105 , and 104 (and even 106) pioneer perfectly ..

  8. Hmmmmm ......... interesting to know that Primo does support all the pioneers,
I didn't know that. I tried the updates that claimed to work, but none did, so I gave up.

I tried everything to get it to work and finally gave up and moved over to RNM and Nero.

I hope you have better luck than me

This engine update provides product updates, fixes, and new CD and DVD recorder support.

    Hello,

PrimoCD, PrimoDVD and RecordNow all use exactly the same burning engine - the PxEngine. This technology nopw belongs to Sonic, and as tompika said, it is available on the Sonic webpage.

Future application from PrassiTech no longer use the PxEngine.

Even if PrimoDVD is no longer developped, all the PxEngine updates will work for it; you don't have to move to RecordNow DX/MAX.

Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

OK I must be doing something wrong here. I use PrimoDVD 2.0.829 and upgraded with the latest px software 507 from Sonic.

Primo still cannot detect my Pioneer DVR-106D. Nero does but doesn't work very well for DVD's. I plugged the 106 into another bus but no luck either.

Are you sure that it supports the 106 drive already.

Re-installed my 104 to keep burning my stuff until I find a solution.
