Is it still necessary to use QT Pro to set the High Quality bit (Get Movie Properties -> Video Track -> High Quality -> High Quality Enabled) when feeding a .mov file from iMovie to ffmpegX for the purpose of making an SVCD?

The high quality flag is automatically set by ffmpegX. There should be no need to set it before opening the file.
