    I have a 2-disc episode SVCD I'd like to shrink to 1 disc. I've tried wonderful programs like DVD Shrink and such for DVD's and I wonder is there any way I can transcode my SVCD to 50% like that just as FAST??? I'm not interested in reencoding which will take a whole day or so.

    I don't know the speed of your PC but that's what you'll have to do.

    I'm afraid that the only way to get reasonable looking quality is to re-encode your mpegs to VCD, or more correctly XVCD. That's the only way to fit it on one CD and have it look half way decent.

    SVCD at 1/2 half of the original bitrate would be near unwatchable.
