I want to be able to cut parts out of some vcd .dat files that I have as they have a trademark logo that I want to get rid of.
I tried vcd cutter 4.0 from tools section but I have to register it with a code and I don't have a code as I didn't buy it.
Does anyone know of any freeware vcd cutting or editing tools that may help me?

READ THE TITLE. YOUR REPLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY POST.

Renaming might work.
But the best way is to extract the MPEG from the DAT using ISOBUSTER.
Then you can edit it or open it in a video program.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Dabwee, I know when I copy certain vcd files back to the comp., they turn out as .dat files! If this is the case, then try using TMPGEnc, and under the "setting/advanced/source range " tab/s, try cutting from there.
I think I'm on the right track with your post?you say Y,
I say Y not?
