  3. no; Im not askin what kind you use of Ritek's. Im askin what are the surfaces, I named 3 (White, Orange Branded, and Unbranded Flat Silver top) is there more surfaces types in the 4x, like do they make a glossy top purple bottom one(s)?!? b/c alot of the pics I see of Ritek's are glossy tops and I dont want them. I want the ones with the silver flat tops, but every site I go to shows pics of glossy ones, when the discription says Silver unbranded.

The flat silver matte surface is all they ship now. Has a little Ridata logo inside the hub. Meritline and Rima have been shipping these for a few months now. If you're unsure of which ones the company is selling, give them a call.

The older Riteks had a glossy silver lacquer with no logo on the hub.

White Top (for Ritek) means a White Paper Matte printable surface.

The recording dye is manufactured the same for all types of Ritek.

  6. just to let everyone know, www.allmediaoutlet.com is shipping The older Riteks that has a glossy silver lacquer with no logo on the hub, I know I just ordered 100 and was pissed. I email'd the company too, me and my buddy asking if they were! They never emailed me back so I took a chance and ordered them and got these old crap O's. They burn fine (4.3X)playback fine, I'm just used to the new ones. The old ones look like cheap cd-r's. Oh yeah also allmediaoutlet says they ship there dvd's in cakes boxes, well they dont, they come rapped in no spindle. next order will be from meritline.com

from meritline you might get wrapped also -- the 50 packs are wrapped and the 100 are on a spindle ...

so sometimes you get 2 50's or sometimes you get a 100 spindle .. you can specify i believe ... it seems big orders i get the 100's and smaller (200 and under) i get the 50's

Rima was selling the shiny silvers for a while, but their latest stock is flat silver again. There was a thread on this topic about a week ago. The easiest thing is to just e-mail them and ask what type they are shipping before you order.

There are also the arrow tops. See link below. (BE ADVISED.......these might come with a Ricoh ID if you run DVDInfoPro on them. From what everyone says, they're as good as Ritek G04, so quality isn't an issue. I bought the 2.4x +R's, and the media code was Ricoh, even though they are being sold as Riteks.)
