Hey all I got a Canon zR70 dv camcorder and I have been using the passthrough method of capturing via the firewire. Using Pinnacle 8 for capturing and editing. Splitting the audio/video up with VDub And then running it through tmpgenc. All is well pretty much. I finally sat down and watched one of my finished products. Looks good.. But that sound is a little weird sounding. Sorta mono sounding & a little bit distorted. It is something I could live with if I had to but I figure if I went this far , I might as well make it right. Note, that I notice it sounds like this after the capturing - before all the editing, etc. I thought of running the audio cables straight into the sound card but there are no audio outs on the camcorder and besides that - pinnacle does not give me that option of changing the source of audio. The only thing it lists is my camcorder. Thanks
