DVD COPYWARE issues.
I sent part of the message below to Tritton & RedExpress but didn't receive any replys (any insights/tricks using CopyWare would be appriciated):

thx, John

This software seems to be just a front-end shell to "NERO" OEM suite,
which is included in the package. The CopyWare install.exe is only 832
KB. The only other files on the disc are a readme.doc , a licence.pdf,
and a autorun.inf. I had a problem backing up my copy of LOTR, 2
towers. I sent emails to both support@trittonsales.com and
support@redxpress.com, neither of which replied.

Here's a cut & paste of my email.
(if I get a reply, I'll post it here).

Lord of the Rings, Two Towers.

I backed up my copy of this movie onto 2 DVD discs (full disk backup). The first disc played back perfectly (copy protect warning at end of disc 1) on both the Sony DRU510A and DVP-NS725P, but the second DVD gets stuck in the lead-in pre-play movie loop on both units. When I hit play, the screen goes back to a blank "PLAY DVD" prompt.

Playing with the remote, the only other effect I get looks like some
sort of a screen scan that I can't select anything in.

My DVD burner is a Sony DRU510A.

My DVD player is a Sony DVP-NS725P

Both can handle multi DVD formats

Pentium 3 800 mgz.
21 gig free hard disc space

Memorex 4X DVD+R media.

Is there something I'm missing, or is this movie un-copyable?

This is my first attempt at backing up my DVDs and so I try again, I'd like to know if this is a generic problem or, a new "copy protection" release technology issue.

Regards, John
