  1. I am using Smart Ripper, then DVDX 2.0 to encode (which by the way the buttons sometimes lose the text), then I use VCDEasy to burn to cd. I don't know what I did, but for the last week, any movies I rip, won't play on my dvd player. I get an error saying that it can't playback. I put the disc in my pc to view the files, it says that windows cannot read the data because it is not compatible or corrupt. All the previous vcd's that work on my dvd player, I can view the files on my pc. Any suggestions?

  3. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the software, i.e. DVDx 2.0, Smart Ripper, VCDEasy. It still didn't fix my problem.

  7. What do you mean by "the buttons sometimes lose the text"? Also, are you using a trial version or early version of vcdeasy?
Can you play the mpg files created by DVDx in WMP before you author them?

  8. When I open dvdx, sometimes the text is gone on the hot buttons. Where it is suppose to say apply, there is nothing. I have the last freeware version of vcd easy.

  9. Why don't you try doing it another way. Try a nice simple program like EAZY VCD and then burn with nero. If this method works then you will know that it is a problem with your current method.

  10. Do you have more than one version of DVDx on your system? Can you play the mpegs created by DVDx in Windows Media Player before you burn them?

What speed are you burning at ?

I have a burner that can burn at high speeds and says "Burnt Sucessful", but wont play, or freezes in WMP. (has to do with VCD's don't have ECC) Now I burn everything at 4x and no problems..
