DVDShrink has encountered an error...

and cannot continue.

The error is:

Cannot decrypt VOBS

The reason is unknown.


After I ripped with smartripper I am getting this message when trying to open the files in DVDshrink 3.0. beata 5.

DVDshrink 2.3 will open the files fine, but then hangs at 55% when backing up.


DVD2one had no problems with it at all.


I haven't run into this before, just wondering if it was a bad rip or if anyone else has had experience with this error.

i was just about to post a thread liike this..... i am having the same problem and cant find a fix.... i havent use dvd one yet because i heard it wont let u keep the menu ....

have you tried using DVDShrink to rip the DVD or DVDDecrypter in file mode selecting all files?

nver tried dvdshrink to rip.... but some of the movies tht i have already ripped i dont have no more i just have the vob files..... so i am gonna have to make due with tht and dvd cryptor tht bull shhhh dont work on none of my win98 machines just my xp pro laptop... ...!!!!!!!!!!

even when i try 2 rip movies with it ... it also comes up with the same errors.... can anyone help with this one ???

That's the same thing mine is doing, on some newer dvd releases. Shrink can't even open the Vob's even after ripping with another program.

Old version - 2.3 will usually do it ok.
