  1. Hi,

    Im editing DV home video's and want to place these clips on a DVD. What program will suit my needs the best ?

    I have trials versions of:

    Premiere 6.0 (very slow and no DVD options - maybe in 6.5)
    Pinnacle 8.0 (looks nice but buggy)

    What other programs are out there which are simple to edit, make titles, menu's and transistions.

    Thanks for any advise.

    For basic, & includes simple menus, you could try Ulead VideoStudio trial, but there are lots of other options. Look in the TOOLS section under DVD Authoring. :c)

    There's no place like 127.0.0.1
    The Rogue Pixel: Pixels are like elephants. Every once in a while one of them will go nuts.

    Not cheap but (IMHO) the best all round "capture", NLE editor and DVD author pakage in one box.

    Other options ... ie cheaper

    DVD Authoring -> DVDLab
    MPEG2 encoding -> TMPGEnc
    (transferring) DV to computer -> DVIO
    NLE Editors -> VirtualDub with AviSynth ( both free but huge learning curve ) or Vegas Video 4

    Try to purchase a firewire card with bundled software (In particular look for Premiere LE (a stripped down version))
