Well what do you mean exactly. How have you authored the movie. If you choose not to have any menus and put the movie as "FIRST PLAY" or what ever your prog says like that it should play as soon as you put in the disc...Elaberate a bit, what do you have to press to make the film play, what progs are you using..Things are only complicated if you let them...

  3. You could probably not make menues
Depending on your program, Open mpeg2 movie, author DVD files, burn to disk.
That should give a movie only disk, no chapters, no menus.

Set your chapter points, author with out menue. You should have a movie disk you can jump ahead by chapters.

Set chapter points, create meneus, look for a setting for actions to take. Find inserting disk and choose play movie instead of show menu.

All the above should probably work to start the movie when you insert the disk instead of showing any menu. I have created all 3, though one or 2 were by accident

Words in various programs are sure to be different and I haven't used all the programs, but most should work similar to that I would think.

Tmpgenc DVD author is some what that way. You just have to look for menu and/or disk settings.

As TN said, if you supplie more info, we could supplie better answers

What I mean is, can you make a DVD without any menus/chapters?

I want to author 5 DVDs, put them into a 5 DVD standalone, turn on the power and have them play unattended all day.

I believe it's a function of the DVD player. I know Sony and Panasonic DVD players have this feature in their setup menus. Of the movies that I've backup they all auto-start because I've removed their menus.

As far a being able to play all day, I don't know about that, I've never looked deep enough into a player's manual to look for a "looping" or "auto-rewind" feature.

  6. Ok, see more info might get more help?

I know nothing about a 5 disk changer.
You can set the action to take when the dvd is over, like go to menu, play again and such though. It depends what program you use. Tmpgenc DVD Author has those types of settings so most other programs probably do also. You don't want it to start over though if you want to change to disk two I think.

NOW the problem is, how do you set the 5 disk changer to go from disk one to disk two to disk three at the end of each movie? That you will probably have to look up in your manual for whatever changer you have, or post the model in case someone else also has the same one!

You can as I said before just auther the DVD without a menu and it will start when you put it in the player. Or use menus and set it to start instead of showing the menu, either way should work for what you want.

I like to make menus for all my DVDs, but I set the menu to auto time-out and then play the movie. It could be just a few seconds and flash the movie title - or "made by you" - or a movie poster, whatever. So, if you wanted to too, you could have a menu (for times you wanted that) and still have the autoplay function. Just another option for you. :c)

    I don't own a 5 disk player, so I can't help with that.

  9. Where you from TN?

I found Wallmart has a ton of $69 3 disk DVD player/changes. I think they are APEX brand. DOn't know if they are any good or what they will play tough. If you got a wallmart and meant you'd like one, well there ya go.

I'm thinking about one, just to see how my disks work in it. I geuss they would have there uses, but I never cared much for changers though, even for cd's myself.

  10. The apexs are cheap cause they have issues swapping disks. Try it yourself & see what happens.

Try a dvd player that has AUTO play. Mine have auto repeat.
