I have a couple of XviD movies. When I put them straight into TMPGEnc and I see the movie length in the Media screen then it shows a film twice the size. If I try to encode it twice by splitting the screen TMPGEnc shutsdown.
Any help?

Open the avi in virtualdub, if it gives a warning about VBR audio (TmpGenc does not like this), then use vdub to save out the audio as an uncompressed wav file, then use this as the audio source when you encode with Tmpgenc.
Hope this helps

I did not know that this could be the reason. I know that my file has this vbr error. By the way, will my mpg contain that much audio no matter from which source format I will convert? (Wav, mp3 or whatever?
I will give it a try when I am at home.
