  1. I captured a VHS movie that had Macrovision the brightness darkens for a few secondes then goes back to normal it does this in the whole movie, Anyways i was wondering if there is any program that would be able to filter or fix the brightness so it will not go darker then brighter?
I know i could purchase a device to disable Macrovision, but i dont want to take that option, the movie is already captured as a VCD now im just wondering if its possible to fix the file

    Thanx

The only way I can think of at the moment is to use a video editor with brightness filter to match (as closely as possible) the darker scenes to the lighter or vice versa.

But yes, it can be done or, at the very least, improved.

But it would probably take more time and effort than to attempt to recapture the whole source again - if you have the source.

Depends too on if you have, or are willing to get the software required to do it.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

It can be done, but not with frewware tools. VDUB doesn't have a filter to do it, but you can didle around with some of the existing ones and make the problem less apparent. You want to hold the chroma and or luminence 'steady' over some time interval greater than the frequency of the change. Problems arise during scene changes and action scenes.

Avisynth can vary parameters to a filter over time
with Animate() If that stuff is synced to the frame rate,
    It could be done.
