My PS2 will not recognize a VCD, is there any way that I can burn them differently so it will?? thanks

nope, PS2 cant play VCD. you may have to buy a seperate external device (like the one used in PS1 for mpeg decoding)to play VCD

There is no external vcd adapter available for the PS2. It is currently impossible to play vcds on the PS2.
There is a method to convert avi files to pss which will play on the PS2, however this method is strongly disouraged against for a number of reasons. If you want more info about this procedure and its drawbacks just do a forum search, this question literally gets asked about once a week. -
Adam - I strongly disagree, it gets asked at least once a day not once a week!
