    I am new to all of this. Ive been trying for 2 days to convert my downloaded .avi movies from Kazaa to DVD,VOB,or SCVD to burn with no success. I have downloaded and tried almost all the links and guides provided on this web site. None of my files seem to be converted, still indicating .avi. Some files however converted to mpg but having a problem with the video. I am frustrated and am about to give up, can anybody help me or lead me in the right direction.

    read the guide on this site for converting avi to whatever your final output is.
