  1. 1. is there a site to teach you how to make bin files?

    2. what is needed to take a dvd an make mpeg out of it , i have Copy dvd
    and i cannot get it to work

    3.how do you take a full movie and make it to and dixv avi that is 700mb or under

    Okay Newbee. You need to do some reading to the left. yes its going to take a little research on your part. Question 3# Answer: I convert DVD to DIVx using Intervideo's DVD Copy. But the files have to first reside on your hard drive without the macrovison protection. And there are other methods also.

    Bin files are image files, normally of an entire CD or DVD. There are several programs that can do this. I personally use CDRDAO to make CDR image files, and DVD Decrypter to make DVD image files.

    DVD files store data in MPEG2 format (VOB files). Need more info than 'make an mpeg' but I assume you want to back up the DVD (to DVDR, x(S)VCD or Divx). Take alook to the left under DVD Rip.

    Lots of options. As a newbie I would suggest Gordian Knot (http://www.doom9.org) you can d/load the software bundle there an there's also a GKnot dicussion forum to ask questions.
