    phillips complainted about them using the CDDA Logo on copy protected disks.

    I just bought a new cd player cause it had a tv tuner in it and it said it plays CDDA White Book CD's and that cd's with copy protection may not play.

    EXACTLY! People will always find a way to make a copy. This new copy protection is BS, what a waste of money. Many have already mentioned very simple methods of bypassing copy protected CD's. If the price was lower people would buy. The problem is the recording industry has to take their piece of the pie.

    It's funny the article talked about Macrovision for DVD protection. It's too bad that doesn't work!

    Oops, the RIAA will be after me now for that one. That should be legal anyway since you made the copy for yourself when you actually owned the CD.
