how do i get asf files to play on vcd

hope i got right forum here so here goes .
i have 7 asf files i want to put on cdr to make a vcd. how can i join them all together to make 1 asf file and how do i get then to play on my dvd player cheers do i need to convert to another format 1st ? if so what and how do i use

Whether or not they can be converted is an open question. Older ones can, but newer ones with Digital Rights Management are more difficult.

Your jumping into water over your head, in my humble opinion.

Look through the tools section for ASF conversion utility. When your done you should have an AVI that you can convert using standard methods to DVD/VCD/SVCD as needed. Burn as normal.

I've been able to use this method before:

1) Rename to .WMV files
2) Load them into TMPGEnc, have it make MPEGs of them
3) Join mpegs with TMPGEnc
