I've been backing up dual layer dvd movies to DVD-R for a while now w/o any problem using DVD2ONE and DvdXcopy. However when it comes to Data DVD I am a bit at loss since it seems to be done differently.
I want to backup a DAtA DVD which contains Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) Trainer KIts. There is approx. 8 GIG of data on the dual layer dvd spreaded among 20 data folders and one VIDEO_TS folder (200 mb) for a short movie presentation. There are also 5 files located at the root level of the dvd.
I copied the whole thing to my HDD and used Instant CD/DVD to burn the first half of the data folders to one DVD-R and the second half to another DVD-R and I included the VIDEO_TS along with the root files on both DVD-Rs.
The first DVD-R works fine and I can access the folders structure using the proprietary interface, however with the second one I can see the folders structure but can't access them. I think the problem may come from the fact that some pointers may not be maintained properly through the folders structure when dividing the data among the two DVD-Rs.
What program should I use to deal specifically with dual layer data dvds ?
or Is there a special procedure to follow in these cases ?
