  1. And when I try to play them with PowerDVD , I have the following error:

"DVD-Video playback graph could not be
buit due to insufficent decoders. (Error code 8004027B)"

I have installed several new codecs ,and nothing helps.

Can somebody help me , and before you answer ... it has nothing to do with the region code , that's for sure.
My DVD-rom is region 2 , and the movie also.

    Thanks in advance , Hans

Sorry, if you expect anyone to help you, you are going to need to define "Them". My crystal ball is in the shop and I personnaly cannot read your mind. Are these original DVD's, back-ups or what?

  3. As the title said ...
    Can't read ANY dvd ...
I'll define myself ... back-ups AND original won't play ... Thrillers,Comics , Action movies ...not 1 plays on my Windows XP system.
    Oh , that's what you mean by define them , isn't ?

So , if somebody can help me with the Decoder Codec problem , ...please do.

This might be your problem. Since PowerDVD comes with its own codec for its intended purpose (play DVD) it will do fine all on its own. Your collection of codecs probably confuses PowerDVD somehow.
