  1. Please help me someone. For days now I have been looking thru these forums on how to convert an avi thru TMPGenc. But haven't been able to find an answer to my dilema.
When i convert an avi i have to strip the audio off it and save as a wav using Vitrualdub. When i match the audio to the (now mpg) movie it is out of sync.
    The audio file is 1hr 31min 55sec. the movie file is 1hr 31min 50sec.
I worked out what the frame rate was to remake the movie to ...55sec but when the two are intergrated, they are still out of sync.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Why? Have you tried letting TMPGEnc make the wav file? That is what I do.

  3. When you use virtualdub it will give you an error message. Does it? Next you must select full pocessing mode and save as wave It's should synced now. If it's it ac3 select direct streaming, rename to ac3 and covert to wave. Use Gspot to check your avi.

  4. TMPGenc wont let me make just an audio track at (44000kbp/s). it says it has to be at 48000kb/s but i want 44 dont i to eventually burn it to an svcd.

  5. I used Gspot to get the frame rate of the avi and audio info.
frame rate is 23.976 and audio in it is 0x0055(mp3) id'd as MPEG-1 layer3.
I dont get an error message from virtualdub either. I made another mpeg which is the same length as the audio and mixed the two together but as i played the movie (mpeg) the audio still became progressively un synced.
