    I've been using HUFFYUV for capturing TV/VHS but file sizes are still way too big so I want to try MJPEG. Does anyone know which is the best codec and where to get it?

    the best mjpeg i've ever used is main concept.
    you can look for it around the net, should not be difficult to find it. try with a good search engine or on the sites that treat this topic. (like this one.......)

    What's your capture card?? It may already have an mpeg-2 recorder.

    Thanx for the replies.
    I've got a Radeon AIW, which does encode (via software) in Mpeg2 but this is not the same as MJPEG which only uses I-frames and is thus much easier to edit and better quality
