  1. on the advice of a few folks in another recent thread I posted, I went back to trying to use avi2svcd to convert divx files (used it in the past and had problems so I gave up on it). Last night, I did a short clip of the file I'm working with now, and all went well so I went ahead this morning and started the complete file before I left for work. I came home to the error message attatched below.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem? I know the message pretty much states the problem, but it means nothing to me. lol I know I could probably use tmpeg and get by with no problems, but I've used it in the past, and for me the additionl time it needs to even get almost the same output quality CCE gives is just not worth it. Any help you may give will definately be appreciated!

    **error message**
cce encoding failed: Error: video check-sum is different from that of previous pass.
Source video data or time code may be different
Please check video tape or the info file

    previous: check sum = 007fa6f3

  2. Well, no replies yet, think I've found the answer though so I'll just discuss with myself, and maybe amuse or help someone along the way. :P

can anyone help me with this most elusive problem???

HI! here's a link to the thread with some info on cce errors. It references a patch for cce to address the problem you're having.

  3. Hi Aileronz
I know it's an old thread but 've got a similar problem and seems I'm having the same luck you did in getting it sorted.
What was your solution? Most avi's I convert are ok but am having trouble with one very rare copy.
Btw If you press ok after the check sum report, does it continue ok?
    Thx in advance.
    Jola
