Hello All,

I am new to the Windows Media Encoder and have tried to convert an MPEG to a
streaming WMV without success. I have a Panasonic VDR-M30. I have a Sony
PCG-SRX77 laptop running Windows XP Pro (P3 800 w/256 MB RAM) with the
Windows Media Encoder 9.

Can someone please offer some assistance? Here are the steps I have taken:

1. Export the video clip from my camera to an MPEG file using Panasonic DVD
Movie Album application (came with the camera).

2. Downloaded an MPEG Decoder from http://www.elecard.com/download/.

3. Open Windows Media Encoder and go through the new session wizard to
create a streaming WMV file and accept the programs default settings.

4. The encoding process runs and says it completes successfully, but when I
playback the video in Windows Media Player there is only one second of video
and then the player stops!!!

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Thanks,

Michael
