  1. I have Windows Media Player 9 with all the latset updates.
Now, with certain mpg files it show the movie is 0.30 min instead of 5 min as it actually is.
I have almost ever codec their is so it's not that problem.
I think I installed a plug-in that messed it up because it wasnt like this once...

So I though if I will uninstall and then install it again it will be ok.
Searching the fourm got me to this guide:

Actually, it is quite easy to uninstall Media Player or any other "build-in" feature of XP without screwing up. Search your PC for SYSOC.INF (it is a hidden file so use the advanced search to search for hidden files also - it should be in WINDOWS or WINNT folder), open it up in Notepad, find the line that reads MultiM=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,multimed.inf,HIDE,7 and delete HIDE leaving it to read MultiM=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,multimed.inf,,7 then save the changes. Go to ADD/REMOVE, Add/Remove Windows Components, highlight Accessories and Utilities and click Details..., select Mulimedia and click Details... and untick Media Player. DONE
I did that but Media Player is still here :\

Anyone know how to uninstall it or knows how to fix that problem ?

    Thanks

But still, after reinstalling, the mpg's have the same problem.....
Do you know a way to uninstall all the codecs and plug-ins ?

    Thanks again.
