I seem to live in the test market but I have yet to see one of these discs. Where do they sell them? Just curious about them. Other than the nostalgia (sp?) I don't think I will ever buy more than one of these discs. Local rental place is $.99 (how do you type the cents sign?) or I could just pay a little more than these discs cost and buy the full retail copy.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Windows: press and hold alt key and type in 0162
Macintosh: Press and hold shift and option key. Then press 4.
    Not sure about other OSes.

And do let us know if you have any luck or problem with EZ DVD.

    HA I actually did it.

    You got me.

    It does nothing.

But what the hell I'm a good sport.

At least it made me chuckle

Is ALT key and numeric keypad 0162, nothing if you press regular 0162 above the letters in your keyboard. ALT + 0162 will show this ¢

Someone suggested earlier that maybe this plan was introduced to boost sales on "normal" DVDs. They might be on to something there. Disney seems to be releasing their movies on DVD at a more frequent rate than the previous 7-year cycle.

Didn't Sleeping Beauty and Lion King come out whithin 6-8 weeks of each other? I don't recall it happening that way on VHS. It's not inconceivable that they're using the threat of the disposable DVDs to boost sales now. Currently my local WalMart has all of their Disney DVDs collected in one display and DOZENS of films are available for purchase. Can anyone recall a time when there was this much Disney material available at once?

Maybe they're hoping that the threat of all disposable DVDs in the future will cause these to fly off the shelves?

Also... I don't want to re-kindle the recycling sub-thread, but I work for Dart Container Coproration. They make 50-60% of the food related styrofoam products in the world. (Factories in 7 U.S. states and 5 foreign countries) Contrary to popular mythology, styrofoam is recycleable and almost all of the "packing peanuts" are made from recycled styrofoam. It's still true though that it's non-bio-degradable.

  9. I just woke up for a strange dream. Finding EZ-DVD in cereal boxes! Not sure if it's a sign the program failed and they were using ceral box to get rid of leftovers or if that dream should be viewed as a nightmare.
