  1. I have a avi film in 2 parts. I have joined the avi and it is fine. The avi as AC3 audio, i normally convert to wav then reconvert using Headache.

Headache is failing and i think it is at the join of the avi because if i convert the audio from each individual part i have no trouble. this leaves me needing to join the AC3 ???

I have to do this as i use Ulead DVD factory and it does not supprot AC3

    CAn any one suggest anything.

    Please?

Did you scan for bad frames after joining the two avi's? You may need to follow a more difficult method of joining the avis if there is some overlap. See the following location in order to get some tips for joining avis:

    This is so much fun!

Use VirtualDubMod and use DirectStream copy for the video and Full Processing for the Audio and convert the audio to uncompressed format.

It creates a much larger AVI file, but never had audio sync problems. I've never had a successful conversion when seperating the video and audio.

  4. Join the avis in vdub, extract the audio using direct stream copy, then fix up the errors with ac3fix.exe (a command line program), the Headac3he will convert it fine.
