  1. Hi,

I am completely new to burning DVD to DVD+R, I just bought a 'Sony DVD Writer DRU-510A' thats ment to do all the formats available.

I have an Anime Sampler DVD that I would like to test it out on, I have used the program called 'DVD Shrink' which basically ripped all the files from the dvd to my hard drive. How do I burn them? they are all VOBS and IFO files. I know how to burn MPEG2 dvd files, but not these type.

do i just make a data disc and drag them all on and click burn? or do i make a folder called 'VIDEO_TS' and put them in there, then burn?

being a newbie is hard! I hear that the program 'DVD X Copy Xpress' only copies the actual movie, not the special featues. this wouild be difficult for my Anime Sampler as all the trailers are about 3 min and it has a 25min episode of Cowboy Bebop, and my guess is that it will only copy of the episode, not all the trailers. what program should i use that is easy?

  2. The files created by dvdshrink need to go into a VIDEO_TS folder. You also need an empty AUDIO_TS folder. The next time you use dvdshrink point it to an empty VIDEO_TS folder to make it easier on you. Whatever burning program you use, drag the audio and video folders into the workspace to burn them to disc.
ALso, the latest version of DVD X COPY EXPRESS will copy the whole disc, menus and all, or it will copy just the movie. It's your choice.

Just to correct you, the latest version allow you to copy the full disk using DVD X Copy. There is now a little box to check if you want the full movie with menus and extras.

Okay, just follow the directions Laddydaddy pointed out. Just make sure you have an empty AUDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder with your movie files (or the output from DVD Shrink) in it. And then burn it as data in record now.

  10. One daft point, could you please use the subject line when creating a new thread to actually say what the problem is ?

Some of us kerb-crawl the boards looking for people to help out based on our own experience, and a decent subject line usually attracts a lot more views.
