  2. I had a similar problem with my Mintek 1600 not reading DVD+R's try this
I learned that I have to use nero in non- wizard mode
select dvd video mode on the left- tick ISO LEVEL ,1 tick ISO 960O uncheck everyting else, and then the resulting DVD+R will play your player..

  3. Memorex DVD+R media should have RICOHJPNR code wich is good media.

As far as I know the Nec 1100 writes DVD-ROM booktype to DVD+R media by default for maximum compatibility.

So if you use the proper setting in a burning program I believe there's a great chance that those discs will be playable.

Some great Nero guides can be found here

  5. SonicMyDVD is for capturing home movies to DVD/VCD.

If you want to backup your DVD movies I suggest DVDShrink (free)
and a burning program (there are freewares, trialwares)

Try to do a forum search.

Know I like to download clips or movies off the internet and burn them. I'll download the free version of nero until my broke ass can get some money.
