Can anyone tell me if there is way of checking wether the 'Bank30.rom' update is necessary on this player and if so how to check. I ask this as I have had one of these players since April 2002 and it will play Vcd's and SCVD's which I have created on my computer, but I cannot get into the hidden menu with the handset keypresses. I therefore do not know if all regions and macrovision hacks are already incorporated.
