Newbie w/ DivX

Hello, Im new with this whole capturing in AVI format and i checked out your forums about capturing with DivX and i tried it out. I downloaded the latest version 4.01. Now whenever i capture it always tends to either pop out a blue window error screen or just hangs up. even if i use the lowest format which is 320x240 and a 753 video bitrate it still hangups. My highest capture length was 15mins. pls. help me! Thanks. My computer specs are the ff:
AMD 1.2Ghz TB, 320mb SDRAM, Matrox Marvel G450eTV, 20GB 5700rpm HD IDE. i know my computer is high end but at least i hope to could record even in low format.

I used both Win98SE & WinME. I`m also using the latest version of VirtualDub for capturing. I saw a setting answered to a fellow member and i tried it. I set my DivX 4.01 to 1-pass quality based, fastest performance, and placed my encoding to 93% in 352x240 format. The longest i got was 40mins. I also used the segmented video to be able to capture more than 4GB.
