play PAL svcd but for PAL DVD?

Hi,

i want to do the remote hack on my dvd player (pioneer dv-353) for region free.
My DVD can play PAL svcd without problem on my ntsc tv.

But what about PAL DVD.

if the player play pal svcd, can it also play PAL DVD?
