dvd to vcd with chapters

1st let me say i have and do backup my dvd's allready i just wish to make chapters in the vcd so i take it i just rip each chapter and convert to mpeg then burn a cd with each mpeg in order 1 to 12 for a sample???

I forgot to ask how can i get 5.1 sound or cant i?

You can only get Pro-Logic with VCD but you can get Dolby Digital with SVCD
