Hi Everyone -
I'm having an issue with DVD Maestro and SubRip where the subtitles gradually become out of synch by the end of the film I'm compiling. In the latest documentation for subrip v1.17.1, its stated as a known issue for NTSC 23.976 compiled with DVDMaestro, which is what I'm working with. The explanation is very cryptic, though I have applied the workaround with pulldown.exe and its drop frame parameter, though its still no good. On the edited copy I'm producing, the subtitles gradually become out of synch and are about 5-8 seconds delayed from the film at the end. The original DVD where I've pulled the video and the subtitles is also NTSC 23.976 and synchs perfectly from beginning to end.
Perhaps there are some settings I have missed with either Maestro or Subrip that would fix this? Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, what did you do to get around it (besides forget using subtitles :P )?
Does anybody know of another subtitle ripper to use that is known to work well with DVD Maestro?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
Chaz
