Using TMPGEnc 2.59 Pro, I have several VCDs and a couple of SVCDs that I am attempting to convert to DVD MPEG2s. The problem is, I get a Video Stream Error consistently about 2 and a half minutes from the end of the movie, seemingly regardless of total length. It happens about 98% of total encode. Other than that, the encoding is fine and I have a burnable movie without the ending couple of minutes ....![]()
This will not do. Any suggestions?
(Further disclosure, I'm attempting to convert to system video and audio, because I haven't had any success with splitting the v and a streams and then authoring. I'm kinda new at this, but you prolly figured that out already...)

Not really answering your question, but you really shouldn't need to re-encode VCD and SVCD to put them on to DVD. VCD video is (mostly) valid for DVD. Only NTSCfilm is not. SVCD is not valid, but it can be used without re-encoding, with a few tricks, and will play fine on most DVD players. Take a look at SVCD2DVDMPG as tool that will do all the hard work for you.
