DVD Workshop problem

I have searched this forum but without luck so here goes...

I am trying to burn DVD with DVD Workshop and its not giving me the option of burning at 1 speed. I either get 2 speed or MAX?

However DVD Moviefactory has an option of 1 speed burning so why DVD Workshop does not??

This may be silly to ask, but.....why do you want to burn only at 1 speed?

hhhmmmm...I am testing on a DVD-RW disc and burning at 2 speed is causing playback on couple of DVD players, it only plays in the writer it self but the other PC DVD player does not play and a stand alone DVD player has problems as well.

However I tried creating an image from DVD Workshop and burned at 1 speed using Nero 6 and that is causing jerky playback...so I wanted to burn at 1 speed straight from DVD Workshop!!!

So anyone with any info??

I am running Ulead DVD Workshop here...

...version 1.3 with the AC-3 PowerPack applied.

When I go to the MAKE DISC step, I can choose either of my two DVD burners.

1. Panasonic LF-D321:

I am given the MAX or 1X option.

2. Panasonic SW-9571

I am given the 4X, 8X, 12X, and MAX options.

Interesting.

It would appear the 1X option may not be made available to faster burners.

You have to make sure you have the latest updates and patches applied to your SW when you're troubleshooting this kind of problems.

It appears that DVD Workshop gives a system MAX option or Max DVD disc Record speed as I got the 1 speed option with 1X DVD-RW but when I tried 1-2X and 4X media I got max of 2 and 4 respectively....but DVD Moviefactory definitely gives option of min and max.

Strange...is ulead using differemt writing plugins for Workshop and Moviefactory????
