  1. I want to order this DVD from a japanese site, but it says it is region 2, which means it won't work on my dvd player. But will it work if I watch the DVD on my computer?

  2. If you look at the properties for your DVD drive in the control panel/system area, it will allow you to change the region up to 4 or 5 times. That could be a temp fix for you to watch it.
Now there are numerous patches floating around the net to permanently make your drive region free. A simple google search of 'make dvd drive region free' worked great for me.
As for your DVD player, depending on the make/model, they can be hacked as well. I downloaded a region free bios for my APEX and uploaded it to the player. It also let me change the graphic and other things. Try a search for 'MAKE MODEL hack', filling in your make and model.
    Hope that helps.

You can also look up your player in the "DVD Hacks" section right over there <<<<<<<<<.
