    Is there a way I can take my DRU-500AX DVD burner and put it in an enclosure to turn it to an external burner that is connected via USB 2.0? I know that this will be slower, but I don't have any empty bays and having it external would give me more flexibility.

    I use the 1394 version with a pioneer 104 DVD-RW, works just fine
