  1. I have a mpeg-2 that is to big to fit on one dvd. How can I compress it to fit on a single dvd?

  2. The simplest way is to author the DVD and then use DVD Shrink to make the files smaller all in about 40mins.

    If you want to do it the proper way, use TMPGEnc to re-encode, and get the DVDRHelp Bitrate Calc to work out the bitrate.

    All three tools mentioned are in the tools section.

    Go back to the source AVI and encode to a lower bitrate.

    You can rencode the MPEG-2 down to a lower bitrate, but then the quality will be lower than the first method.
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
