    Hello everybody,

I burned my first DVD yesterday, it works but not completely faultless.
    I used the following :
    - DVD compliant video stream, encoded with Tmpg
    - static bmp pictures for a slideshow (rem : pictures with long filenames)
    - Sonic MyDVD 4.04 (build 73194) for authoring, building the slideshows and burning the media
    - IIsonic DVD +-R/RW (4x) burner (burnproof, 8MB cache, firmware 2.16)

First try on DVD-R media : movie runs but stops and freezes the DVD after a few minutes; slideshows don't run and make the DVD stop

Second try on DVD+R media : everything ok

What did I do wrong since on DVD-R obviously it doesn't work properly ?

If anybody out there knows how to help me that would very appreciated.
    Thanks a lot anyway!
    Jacobus

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

As a matter of fact, I use Princo DVD-R; are they that bad ?

I use Princo 4x, and I suffered through years of Princo 1x and 2x. Don't use them for yourself (pawn them off on others), use them on unimportant stuff, and use them for project where content is under 4.0 GB.

    - Advantages of Princo: Cheaply priced.
    - Disadvantages of Princo: Cheaply made.

  5. What computer & operating system? Cause some of them have a playing time limit when you reach 4 gigs.
