  1. Need help with trying to rip a DVD to VCD using DVDx application. Whether I
am sourcing the video file directly from DVD or from my hard disk as an IFO
(ripped out using Smart Ripper), when hit play to view the video the sound
has continuous breaks in it every 5 seconds. I've check my input settings,
and the only thing I can find that addresses the issue is to check or
uncheck "Force 24Hz" and "Detect progr. - 24Hz". This sort of removes the
silence but then sound has heaps noise/distortion in it every 5 seconds. If
I turn off "Audio/Video Sync", the movie locks up about 10 seconds in when I
    try to play it.

I've tried toggling all the input settings, but none help. So when I
attempt to rip it out to MPEG, the sound is screwed with the silences.
Initially thought it may have to do with my DVD player, but I have since
    upgraded to a Pioneer 16x.
Has it got to do with IDE arrangement? I have my hard disk on Primary Master
ATA100, and my DVD-R on my secondary as master. Couldn't be the specs of my
    PC, I have a P4 1.8GHz, 512 MB mem, GF3Ti200 with 60 GIG. Any ideas or help
would be much appreciated. Can't seem to find anyone else who has the
    problem. IDEAS?

  2. Hey, I'm having problems with DVDx audio synch problems too!
I'm trying to use it to back up DVDs into Mpeg1's on my computer.

I have Windows XP and I have toggled EVERy input and output imaginable, but every time I try to play it there is a dragg in the audio (like the speaker is stuttering).

I read the glossary on "Pulldown" since that's a message that occassionaly pops up and it makes sense that's what it is (frame and audio not same speed). I still get the stutter even when that message doesn't pop up on DVDx though, with no idea how to fix it (after messing around ALOT).

Has anyone out there had any success stories with DVDx for audio on regular DVD's without subtitles? I'm about ready to scrap it and try Easy VCD.
