  2. Pleae do not use all caps.

Yes, compared to the other transcoders IC is very slow. It really depends on the length/complexity of the video, the level of compression and the speed of your CPU. 150min isn't that bad if you're compressing a 2.5hr movie to a single DVDR.

For speed DVD2One seems to be the favorite choice. IC gives IMHO superior quaility. For best quaility you should re-encode with a encoder (CCE, TMPGEnc, etc) which would take even more time.

Pick which one you want: speed, quaility, time, money

vesterlee, when you speak to friends, family or collages do you always SCRAM AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS? If not please lay off the caps tab because in the cyber world that is what all caps represents! [Just an observation] jm2C

Yes, IC7 is slower than than programs such as DVD2one and others because of the more complex process in which the data is sampled. IMHO is worth the extra CPU time and the personal interaction is the same effort.
I have been doing DVD B/U in some form or the other since early in 2001 and for a quality B/U, IC7 is still what I use unless it is very large project at which time I switch over to the big 3.

Just for a laugh I copies this from a very early statement made on my first website regarding this very subject.
