  1. Hi, I have a problem encoding in TMPGenc and playing a DVD movie in Nero that I have downloaded from a website, I want to put this movie onto a CD in VCD format.
What's happening is I try to encode in TMPGenc and it can only find a Video source for my encoding and no audio.
This is weird as my audio is supported by my Codec, according to GSpot and my other AVIcodec.
    What am I doing wrong?
I find a lot of Videos do this on TMPGenc, support the video and not the Audio even though I have the appropriate codecs to support the audio.
So I am left with a movie with no audio after encoding.

Even on Nero when playing this particular video just before encoding when I always tend to click "play" to see whether it plays on nero or not
the screen is Black but there is audio, can anyone please help me with this??

I appreciate any insistance or help with this as it's doing my head in.

Also, can anyone tell me the codec or player that flips the video??

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Richard

  2. If the audio is ac3 or VBR (variable bit rate) TMPG will have issues with it. What does gspot or avicodec say about the audio?

  3. Gspot says that it has the appropriate codec to play the audio and AVICodec says it is supported, it's just when it comes to encoding in TMPGenc.
But yes you're right it's the AC3 codec that the film needs to play the audio on.

    any ideas?

  4. You need to convert the audio to a wav file. The latest version of virtual dub can do this. If you have an older version there is a plugin for the ac3 audio available. They're both available in the tools section as well as a guide on how to convert ac3 to wav in the guides section.
