Get DVDinfo pro from the tools section it will identify your media type, write speed etc, and the manufacturer ID.If you did not get what you ordered report it to e-bay.

Use DVDInfo and check the media code . All the Ritek GO3 discs I have purchased have been silver on top with no printing and dark purple on the bottom . This includes the Verbatim labeled ritek GO3's I got from Best Buy .

I too have Riteks that have a silver top and a dark purple bottom. Or they could come with fugly designs on the top with a dark purple bottom.

Like the others said, use DVDinfo to check.

  8. There is no way you can tell who makes those unbranded discs only by the looks and that's why people use DVDInfo to identify the details of the discs. Personally I would never buy any media on eBay because most sellers charge a ridiculous amount for shipping and there is no way to confirm the seller's claims before the purchase.

These days you can get very good deals on name brands of DVD media when they are on sale and stock them up. If you live far away from most retail chains, then you can order the media from reputable on-line vendors, at least they would sell what they claim and accept returns if anything goes wrong. Just my two cents.

Yup, not to mention it takes forever to get your refund when things happen (same applies to online stores). I buy only from local stores these days.
