  1. Does anyone else have this problem? I am trying to make a svcd and play it on my apex 500W with modchip. I have used both nero and vcdimager and both give a very good output. the problem is that neither svcd alows me to fast forward or rewind. When using nero i followed the guide on this site and added the scandata to the ext file. Is this something common to svcds? Is this common to apex 500Ws?
    Thanks

Yes, I have the same exact problem...I use dvdx 1.5a...no complaints about the encoder, its a great program but I cant seem to rw and ff..I am trying everything if anyone knows anything please post...It seems that pause works...also how do I get the "jitters" to stop with NTSC 29.98fps I tried the force option which forces 24 hz but then nero wont let me burn it as an svcd..??!?!?

  4. I have the $99 apex 1500. It didn't ff/rw. I tried adding the scandat; didn't work. Downloaded the latest nero service pack; now it works. Not great, only 4x ff/rw, but it works.

  5. i have the apex 500w and i can ff and rr as a result of upgrading my nero version to their latest 5.5.5.. something. They specifically indicate that their latest version will solve the ff and rr problems in the svcd... however, i was able to ff and rr successfully, but the audio sync was not aligned. But that is just with the 500w series... other apex players may not have audio sync problems, so try upgrade nero version to latest. Post if your player works successfully after nero upgrade and please indicate what model and if you have the audio sync problem
