I have a question(well more like questions)...how much do mod chips cost, where can i get them, are they easy to install, and last but not least, can I put them on a cd-r or rw, or does it have to be a dvd-r.

    Thanks

modchips range from $30 to $80
just look up ps2 modchip on google
nope, they're not easy to install. unless you're an experienced solderer.
you can put games on cd-r, but you have to download ripkits, which basically remove videos & audio from a dvd game so that it is small enough to fit on a cd-r.. very few games come on cd nowadays..

  4. there is a side card no soder modchip "easy 2 in stall" http://www.saveonnet.com/shop/index.php?action=item&substart=0&id=120 u dont need 2 ripp the game ur self there is companys 4 that http://www.console-news.org this site tells u when games are ripped and release. when u find the game u want 2 download check the name of the file 4 a example Chaos Legion here is the file name dfc-clen.0xx here is it on the website http://www.console-news.org/index.php?_site=2&_subsite=1&vMode=nfo&system=1&nfo=3172 this is all the info on this game u will need. it has ripp notes like what they cut out of the game "movies" 2 find games u need Direct Connect it is the best way 2 find them u can not find ps2/xbox/dc games on kazaa.any more Q just ask

Whether it's a direct copy with nothing cut out or files cut out, doesn't matter to me (i prefer nothing cut out). I heard alot of the movie files would be deleted if i backed up on cd-r. But i just need a basic guide on how to do this whole thing. I downloaded a kit called "Atlantis" but havent tried it out. But still, i would like to know how to do this. thanks

p.s. i dont have a dvd burner or else i would've went the easy way.

  9. have u ever downloaded a game be4?if u are trying 2 ripp your self there is not basic guide. it is very hard 2 ripp games.i tryed it my self and f it all up.on Console News the companys that ripp the games are allways looking 4 people that can ripp games a lot of the stuff u have 2 go 2 school 2 lean.i recomand u stick 2 downloading games from the companys on Console News.go 2 Console News and contact 1 of the companys and ask 4 a guide.i recomand that u download the dvd ripp game 1.then if u like the game and u want 2 see the cut movies i recomand u just buy it.i did this with silent hill3.download it liked it bought it.

p.s some games really suck and are NOT WORTH BUYING

Talking about downloading games falls well into the catagory of warez. I have to shut down this topic.
