Compaq P4s running DVDx..

Hi can anyone help me here i swear ill have no hair left,lol Problems with DVDx after i load ifo (rip or from cd) with any P4 options turned on program crashes wanting to send report? if i turn off all p4 options it will load ifo but upon convertion (vcd or svcd) i will have 2 disc ones of film? even b4 convertion if i use slider to preview film after about 1 hour it reverts back to start of film but slider is sitting half way thro film?

i have everyupdate possible windows,aspi 4.60 etc.

my comps specs:
Compaqs P4 2.4
512DDR ram
120gig hard disk
Toshiba 1502 dvdplayer
&
Compaqs P4 1.4celeron
512DDR ram
120gig hard disk
Toshiba 1502 dvdplayer
Everthing worked fine on my old dell P4 1.8 im begging to think its a compaqs problem? anyone else with a compaqs machine having same problems? anyhelp would be

What operating system is it? XP? what model is your DVDrom? have you tried a google search of your DVDrom model number and DVDx problem as the search? Have you tried a different ripping program?

my operating system is Windows XP,my dvd rom is toshiba 1502,both same which was in my dell P4 1.8 & everything worked fine?
