Pinnacle studio 8 last update and AV capture

Hello everybody,

I have recently updated my Pinnacle sutudio 8 version with the latest patch : 8. something.
Pinnacle claim they improve the out of synch issue during capture.

Surprisingly, I cannot capture from analog source any more (or at least I can't find the right click to do it).
The soft does not let me the possibility to choose (svideo, composite,..), I only have access to the DV

I was just backing up my old family videotapes with my kids.

Apart reinstalling the old stuff, does anybody has a suggestion ?

Are you using the Pinnacle capture card? If yes, try reinstalling the drivers.

No I'm using a AV/DV Twins capture cards that worked pretty well for both types.
(except out of synch for AV so that I had to capture the tape by pieces of around 10 minutes (Quite boring)

Suggestion 1: Look in the manual. (I have the manual that came with the software, and I did actually read it... This one, however, escaped me for quite some time, till I stumbled upon it.)
Suggestion 2: ok, here goes

Select the first Tab labeled "1 Record".
Click on the small TV-like icon to the left of the image in the bottom half of the screen. This opens up a screen in which to select the source you want to capture from.
Click the TV-like icon again to close.

I captre using the PCTV Pro card (analog video only), so I'm not 100% certain the software has the same options for other video cards.

Anyway, this is my 5 (euro)cents worth.

I tried frankb's suggestion but I only have access to one button (tuner) and svideo or composite has disappear.
I reinstalled the original studio 8 and all went back to normal.

Is there any othe suggestion around
