Hi,
i've seen review about the sound quality of LOTR 1 saying that DTS track sounds better than the track DD 5.1. So, in your opinions, do you believe, if i made a conversion from DTS track to DD 5.1 track, that my DD 5.1 track would be better than the original DD5.1?
Tks.

In short - No it wouldn't.
The reason the DTS sounds better is that it uses much less compression than a DD track and thus provides a better sound. By recompresing the DTS you will get a WORSE than original DD soundtrack as you do not have access to the original UNCOMPRESSED soundtrack - only the studio will have access to this. -

What's the max supported DD bitrate, and what's the original bitrate used on the disc?
If there's a big difference between the two, there would be a noticeable difference in quality (but i'm talking if it's 768kbps max, and the normal is only 384kbps)
